Lawn Maintenance Transblue

A beautiful landscape is one of the key ingredients in a luxurious backyard. But landscaping is tricky—a lush backyard looks great, but how do you keep it up?

You call Transblue, of course! Check out some of the methods we use to keep your backyard paradise thriving, no matter what time of year it os.

Fertilization

Have you ever wondered how some turf areas always look green, plush, and beautiful? Well, we have the answers. Our fertilizer package consists of 7 fertilization visits. With our proper fertilization applications, we will keep your lawn looking green all year round. At Transblue we provide spring fertilization, which is one of the most important fertilizations of the season. Spring fertilizer and weed control are important in prevention.

Weed prevention plays a big part in starting your year off right, because weeds will spread quickly throughout your turf area. The nutrients that are available when temperatures warm in the spring allow for deep root growth and the grass is able to become thick and green very quickly.

Turfgrasses store up energy (or carbohydrates) in the fall for two main reasons: blade growth slows down and less transpiration (or evaporation) occurs due to cooler air temperatures, but photosynthesis is still occurring. At TransBlue we strongly recommend having a spring fertilizer application applied to your turf to encourage turf grasses to grow thick and full for the summer months. This is extremely important because healthy thick turf will protect the turf roots in the heat of the summer and help keep your lawn looking great all year long.

  • Our first fertilization of the year consists of a fertilizer and moss control application. We apply this fertilizer between the last two weeks of March—this application will keep your turf areas free of unwanted moss.
  • Our second fertilization of the year consists of fertilizer and weed control. We apply this fertilizer application between the last two weeks of April—this application will keep your turf areas free of unwanted weed.
  • Our third fertilization of the year consists of fertilizer and insect control. We apply this fertilizer application between the last two weeks of May—this application will keep your turf areas free of unwanted and annoying pests like mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, spiders, chiggers, pill bugs, and more.
  • Our fourth fertilization of the year consists of a fertilizer and crabgrass control. We apply this fertilizer application between the last two weeks of June—this application will keep your turf areas free of crabgrass and other unwanted grasses.
  • Our fifth fertilization of the year consists of fertilizer and weed control. We apply this fertilizer application between the last two weeks of July.
  • Our sixth fertilization of the year consists of a fertilizer and moss control. We apply this fertilizer application between the last two weeks of August. This application will keep your turf areas free of unwanted moss.
  • Our seventh fertilization of the year is a winter fertilizer which helps to put the lawn to sleep for the season. We apply this fertilizer application between the last two weeks of November.

Aerating

Another service that is very important for your turf is aerating. What aerating does is open up small holes in the thatch of your turf approximately two to three inches in depth. This allows the soil to accept new fertilizers, soil amendments, nutrients, and water. Having your turf areas aerated will help your lawn breath and be healthier and greener in the new year. Our terrific pricing for this service is only given to Transblue customers.

Thatching

At Transblue, our thatching service goes hand in hand with our aerating and fertilization services. Our thatching service is very important because it removes all of the dead organic matter from the top of your soil. This is important because the dead organic matter (thatch) builds up on your turf and makes it impossible for nutrients, sun, and water to penetrate deep into the ground and provide your soil with the nutrition that it needs most. It is very important to remove this dead organic matter yearly. It will prevent hard dead spots from appearing in your turf areas. This is one of the #1 things that you can have done to your turf to keep it healthy and vibrant for the new year. We are offering amazing pricing for this service.
